"A wonderful benefit of my job is that I get to spend many hours with the fantastic children in our care. Seeing the smile on their face when they discover something new or the light in their eyes when they tell you a story makes all the hard work we do worthwhile. We have one of the best jobs in the world - providing wonderful childhood experiences and memories for the children and youth in our care."

"There is never a dull moment when working with young children. Fostering their natural curiosity and sense of wonder can be deeply rewarding. Some of my fondest memories date back to my early years in school, and thinking back to the past teachers in my life, I'm grateful for the experiences and guidance they provided. It reminds me that even one person can have a profound effect on a child and can possibly change the trajectory of his or her whole life. I hope to have as much impact and positive influence on other children as my teachers have had on my life."

Toddler 18 months to 2 years

Our warm and nurturing staff are passionate about their work with infants and toddlers and knowledgeable about their unique needs. Staff honor each baby’s individual routine and schedule, provide a stimulating environment and form warm personal relationships with each child and family.

Trusting relationships are built as babies are cuddled, rocked and comforted. Infants and toddlers are surrounded by language as teachers sing, read and talk to them, encouraging emerging literacy skills. Babies enjoy physical activity with baby gyms, tummy time mats and ample space to crawl, cruise and begin walking.

Opportunities for sensory exploration include toys to manipulate, textured surfaces and fabrics, a water table and fine foods for toddlers. Infants and toddlers enjoy outdoor time every day by taking stroller rides, sitting on a blanket in the grass or splashing around in water tubs in warm weather.
