Early childhood educators agree that preschools, such as our Olney preschool, set the stage for a child’s success in future educational, personal, and professional stages in life. Thanks to our innovative program, Brooke Grove preschool age children are assured of the best care and attention they need to establish a strong foundation for those early childhood building blocks. Our preschool in Olney, MD is guided by The Creative Curriculum®, a teaching strategy approved by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).

The Creative Curriculum® applies developmentally appropriate guidelines for preschoolers at Brooke Grove, so that each child receives learning attention appropriate for their unique growth. MCCA’s implementation of The Curriculum covers a broad spectrum of development needs, including Social-Emotional, Physical, Language, Cognitive, Literacy, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Studies, the Arts and English Language Acquisition.
As a parent or guardian of a Brooke Grove preschooler, you can be confident that your child receives the care, support, and guidance necessary for school readiness. Our preschool program equips children with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to take the next step in their academic journey. But our preschool environment offers more than that!

While preschoolers in Brooke Grove love the curriculum’s play-based focus, youngsters in our program learn more than play. They engross themselves in group activities, learn to share toys and books with their fellow preschoolers, learn to express their emotions, and to work well with others. These are invaluable skills that are essential for school readiness.
